We’ve now hit the midway point for October, so I wanted to check some of my goals today!
So far, this month I’ve read 15 books!
This brings me to a grand total of 247 books this year, which is just 3 off my Goodreads target.
So back on day 4 of #Blogtober, I set myself some goals and today, I’m going to see how they’re going so far.
Blogging Goals:
I’ve reviewed 9 books so far this month, so certainly enough for one per week!
All the books I’ve reviewed this month (so far):
- Soulbinder by Sebastian De Castell
- The Accident Season by Moïra Fowley-Doyle (check it out here)
- The Spellbook of the Lost and Found by Moïra Fowley-Doyle (here)
- Scythe by Neal Shusterman
- Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman
- Happier Thinking by Lana Grace Riva
- Goodbye Perfect by Sara Barnard (here)
- Orphan Monster Spy by Matt Killeen (here)
- American Panda by Gloria Chao (here)
I have posted every day, so I am sticking to Blogtober and I recently posted an original book tag. The only blogging goal I haven’t achieved yet is sharing a book haul, so I’ll try and do this before the end of the month.
Reading Goals:
I’ve read 5 books that feature BAME characters and/or are written by authors who are BAME:
- You’re Not Proper by Tariq Mehmood
- Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
- Open by Gemma Cairney
- For Every One by Jason Reynolds
- Wildcard by Marie Lu
I’ve read 3 books that contain LGBT+themes/characters and/or are written by authors who are LGBT+:
- Grace & Fury by Tracy Banghart (side character is LGBT+)
- Someday by David Levithan
- Wildcard by Marie Lu
I’ve read 4 books that contain themes about mental health issues/disabilities:
- The Price Guide To The Occult by Leslye Walton (graphic descriptions of self-harm)
- Open by Gemma Cairney
- Happier Thinking by Lana Grace Riva
- It Ends With You by S.K.Wright (suicidal thoughts)
Also, I have stuck to my current system of randomly choosing my next read, but I might switch it at the end of the month.
However, I want to get these numbers higher by the end of the month.
Over To You:
How are your goals for October going?
