November 2023 Wrap Up and Haul

November was another very busy month for me, travelling up and down the country! In total, I read 17 books and completed my TBR. You can also find my thoughts on most of my Recent Reads here.

Reviews:

Haul:

The lovely people at Macmillan send me a wonderful proof package for A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal from Macmillan, while the ever brilliant Nina Douglas and Penguin sent me an ARC of The Bad Ones by Melissa Albert.

Then for my birthday, I was lucky enough to be gifted The Insider’s Guide to No 9 by Mark Salisbury, Our Wives Under The Sea by Julie Armfield and the 70th Anniversary Edition of The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie.

YALC

As you can see, I walked away from YALC with a whole stack of new reads, but I only bought myself a physical copy of How to Die Famous by Benjamin Dean! Then I was lucky enough to receive or win a huge stack of books from various lovely publishers. These included Not Like Other Girls by Meredith Adamo from Bloomsbury, One Last Breath by Ginny Myers Sain and Lord of the Fly Fest by Goldy Moldavsky from Electric Monkey; The Principle of Moments by Essie Jikiemi-Pearson from Gollancz and Where Sleeping Girls Lie by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé from Usborne.

I was also very fortunate to have been invited to Team BKMRK’s 2023 YA party, which was such a great evening and we got to meet loads of incredible authors. They gave us goody bags which contained proofs of A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft and In The Shallows by Tanya Byrne! We also got to do the classic Blind Date with a Book, where I received Lose You To Find Me by Erik J Brown
