2026 has been off to a fairly good start for me with quite a busy month full of good books. In total, I read 26 books including all of my TBR and you can see my thoughts on some of these in my Recent Reads wrap-up post. As ever, I was lucky enough to receive some brilliant books and you can find further details in the haul section! I also shared my Top 20 Books of 2025, all of which I would highly recommend picking up.

Haul:

I have been so lucky to be sent books that I am very, very eagerly anticipating and have been for quite some time. As a case in point, Usborne sent me a fantastic proof package for The Heirs by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé, while Electric Monkey/Farshore sent me a gorgeous proof of The Fox Hunt by Caitlin Breeze. Simon & Schuster sent me one of my most anticipated reads of the year with Body of Lies by Jo Callaghan.
Also, as part of the exciting #TM10 campaign, the lovely Melissa at Zaffre Books sent me Lies by T. M. Logan and I cannot wait for everything in store in 2026 with this campaign. Nina Douglas and the team at Hot Key Books kindly sent me Arcana: The Lost Heirs by Sam Prentice-Jones and The Escape Game by Marissa Meyer & Tamara Moss. In addition to this, Tor Nightfire sent me The Brides by Charlotte Cross and Penguin Children’s UK sent me Her Hidden Fire by Clíodhna O’Sullivan.
Finally, a very good friend kindly gave me a copy of Flesh by David Szalay.
