Today, I'm reviewing a powerful, timely story that really got me thinking. What Kind of Girl forces you to reexamine your initial perceptions and ask some difficult questions about our culture. I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy by Atom Books and Stephanie Melrose, so thank you so much to them for sending … Continue reading What Kind of Girl

Mini Review Monday #11
As we start a rather hectic publishing week, I'm sharing another instalment of my Mini Review Mondays, after reviving it last month! In case you haven't seen any of my previous posts, I do 'mini' reviews of books that I've read, loved and usually promised to review ages ago. Today, I'm focusing on two stories that deserve a lot more hype than I've seen and both publish on Thursday, starting with Are You Watching?
February Anticipated Releases
This year, I've decided to do something new, in addition to my monthly TBR, I want to shout about my most anticipated releases of each month and see how many of them I've read by the end of the year. For this, I've created a massive spreadsheet and have tried to keep an eye out … Continue reading February Anticipated Releases

Diary of a Confused Feminist
The prospect of a funny, conflicted look at teenage feminism and finding your voice sounded right up my street. Luckily, Diary of a Confused Feminist turned out to be that witty examination, with a brilliant representation of anxiety and the rocky road of recovery. Thank you so much to the lovely Becci Mansell and Team BKMRK for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Recent Reads #30
Last year, I renamed 'Weekly' Wrap-Ups to Recent Reads, as I feel like that reflects the timescale between posts more accurately! As ever, today I will be briefly reviewing all the books I've read since my last post in approximately fifty words. This post also explains my concept of 'The Chosen Ones' to highlight my favourite books in each post! Some of these books aren't released yet, so I'll just have a quick thought with the full review to come closer to publication date!
Follow Me, Like Me
As always, writing a review for a mystery/thriller is difficult, as you don't want to give anything away. Therefore today's review will be short and sweet, as this is the type of book where you want to go in blind. I received an e-ARC of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Trigger warnings: … Continue reading Follow Me, Like Me
The King of Crows
This will be a short and sweet review, as I don't want to reveal any spoilers. Therefore I've edited the synopsis, so even if you haven't read the previous books, nothing is given away. I received an e-ARC of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Synopsis: After the horrifying explosion that claimed one … Continue reading The King of Crows
