Like much of this year, August just seemed to race past me. I managed to complete most of my TBR and read 23 books in total.

I was so fortunate to be a part of the awesome Vitriol treasure hunt and to be able to interview the incredible Kalynn Bayron!

Haul:

This month, I hauled a lot of books again! I won A Song Below Water from the amazing Sam, traded for The Space Between with the lovely Amy and got The Girl in Red and Not Even Bones from Mols.

I bought myself Eight Pieces of Silva, Every Little Piece of My Heart, The Black Kids and Ghost Wood Song. Also, I managed to obtain Parachutes through a trade and I bought Let Me Hear a Rhyme from the wonderful bookshop – Round Table Books.

Finally, the incredible Amy from Amy’s Bookish Life sent me The Last Paper Crane, Pet, Raybearer and Fight Like A Girl & the awesome team at Egmont Books sent me Chelsea High!

I will continue to speak up about current events now and forever and to help, here are links to Carrds talking about many of the world’s current events and how you can help. Also, I’ve linked here the Black Lives Matter Carrd to support, but also here is a list of resources to aid Anti-Racism work in the UK, as well as UK specific places to donate to. I will be doing this on every post. If you have the funds to donate, please do but if not, please support and uplift Black voices and sign the petitions, including 10 UK specific petitions here.

I read The Black Kids and Mad Bad & Dangerous To Know this month too! Wasn’t a fan of the romance in MBDTK but the rest was really good.
