June 2024 Wrap-Up

June was such a lovely month, filled with plenty of sunshine and some excellent reads! I read 29 books this month, including my TBR. I was also sent so many brilliant books, which you can see in my two Haul sections further down.

I have been abolsutely spoilt with such fantastic bookmail this month – thank you so much to all the mentioned publicists and publishers!

Walker Books kicked off the month by sending me Last Seen Online by Wren James, while First Ink surprised me with When Haru Was Here by Dustin Thao. Headline also surprised me with The Black Bird Oracle by Deborah Harkness. Sarah Doyle at Penguin Random House Children’s UK sent me The Blonde Dies First by Joelle Wellington, while Katie Cregg at Ed PR sent me Seven Lively Suspects by Katy Watson. In addition to this, Hachette Children’s Group sent me Immortal Dark by Tigest Girma and A Sea of Wolves by Sarah Street.

The lovely Hannah Penny at Farshore (Electric Monkey) sent me Gentlest of Wild Things by Sarah Underwood and Murder on a Summer Break by Kate Weston. Finally, Chloe Rose at Bantam sent me Bad Tourists by Caro Carver, Titan Books sent me I Was a Teenage Slasher by Stephen Graham Jones and while I was working at the London Festival of Writing last weekend with Jericho Writers, a very kind author insisted on purchasing me a copy of The Short Straw by Holly Seddon!

    Ohh i love the cover of how to survive a horror movie. The body on the Juliet book looks so off- iknow its supposed to be a shot upward from a staircase but.. the way her arm is turned up looks wierd 😂
